Demonstrating both skill and precision, teams from across the district’s scout groups sent pins flying in the annual Lowestoft Scouts tenpin bowling competition.

Eight teams of six players battled it out for the honours in a fiercely fought competition, which was held at Richardson’s Family Bowl Centre.

Each team bowled in two games in a bid to claim top place in the contest, with their combined score counting towards the final result.

Making the presentations at the end of the contest, district commissioner Mel Buck praised all players and said that he was impressed with the bowling skills on show.

The overall winning team was from 4th Lowestoft scoring 914 points, with 14th Lowestoft ‘A’ in second place with 846 points and 1st Carlton Colville in third place with 795 points.

Connor Hargreaves, of 1st Pakefield group, achieved the highest individual score of 227 and won the bowling pin trophy.
